WHAT I DO AND WHY

Working in parish life for decades proved to me that no matter how hard or how long or how efficiently we work, there are still tasks that just don't get done.

I know the needs and challenges that are never fully addressed because there simply isn't enough time.

Sometimes, pastors need some assistance with assessing, optimizing, and moving the needle forward on faith formation and communication within the parish.

What if there were a local resource that could do staff in-service training, help get that Marriage packet together, take care of training your catechists, or provide formation for your liturgical ministers on their role in the liturgy?

What if someone could offer a series for your Adult Faith Formation, support your RCIA process, or even take a wider view of your parish formation and communication?

I want to serve the Church by being the resource that I wished I'd had as a DRE and Pastoral Associate.

I work with pastors to understand the unique dynamic, particular gifts, and specific challenges of each parish.

There is no one-size-fits-all system to move your parish from where you are to where you want to be. My goal is not to impose my own ideas on your project, or force your process into my own program.

My goal is to help YOU achieve YOUR GOALS by doing what I can to support YOUR initiatives and encouraging the good that is already at work. 

Whether you are looking for help with individual projects or a more comprehensive assistance, I want to serve the Church by serving you.

HOW WE COLLABORATE TO SERVE YOUR PARISH'S NEEDS

Short term/hourly assistance:

Maybe you simply need someone to work with you for a specific task or two: for example, putting together or revising your Marriage packet or liturgical ministry guidelines, or compiling some research for you as pastor. There just no isn't enough manpower or time to get some tasks completed. I work with the pastor to find the best way to get these things done!

These tasks would be billed at an hourly rate.

Training/formation modules:

Sometimes, it is helpful to have someone else come in to provide formation or training for the parish, the staff, liturgical ministers, or the catechetical team. These gatherings might last from one hour to several days or weeks.

  • Overview of Church (hierarchy, Canon law, sacraments)

  • Parish work as ministry of service

  • Parish communications/social media

These modules are package-priced depending on your particular requirements.

Longer term assistance/collaboration:

Sometimes, a more comprehensive collaboration is needed to get the parish on track with the pastor's goals. This may require an assessment of the current formation programs and modes of communication and a more extensive plan.

The truth of the matter is that every parish is at a different stage of the journey. They're made of unique individuals with unique needs in unique communities. There is no "one-size-fits-all" program or process that will get us to the goal.

Our first step is to pray and assess the current status of the parish, your own goals, and the best means to get to where you want to be. Then I continue to work with you to discern and prioritize the particular areas of  need and work out a strategy that will work for your parish. Together and prayerfully, we develop the precise ways to help your parish family grow in holiness, community, and true discipleship.

After a thorough consultation, this collaboration is billed monthly at an agreed-upon rate.
