What am I doing?
Ah, summer. When everyone's everyday can be an embarrassment of real riches. It has been many years since I allowed myself the freedom to inhale the sweet hours of warm July without a deadline looming, a program to plan, a meeting to schedule. My view used to be pretty good. But I'll take the new view! Morning prayer walks along the woods and pond, accompanied by birdsong and frog song and the buzz of God's world, all green and blue and punctuated in pink.Bright sun and open doors, fresh linen and doppio on the deck. And the overflowing leafy abundance of the vegetable garden, the exponentially surprising outburst of small seeds sown in cold April hope.So for those who have asked, and those who are wondering, this is what I'm doing now.Enjoying the view, and the local riches. Inhaling. And, remembering that to sing, you must exhale ;-)
